my boat floats

UP DATE
W.A.L.T. finding out if our boat floats.

When I went to the beach I was so exited to see if it would float.
Me and Tyson took the masts off so that they wouldn't get wet, when we put it in the water we were so happy that it did float even when the waves came, it went over the wave and it still floated we are so happy.

                                               it floats so well

The sail boat

w.a.l.t.
making boats out of natural resources and what ever we have lying around the house.

The first time i saw the boat is by the fence at the next door neighbours i reached under the fence and pulled it through. Mum said it was a palm tree leaf all dried up, it was perfect for a boat.

First i sealed up the holes with black tape, then i started to put the seats in,at first it was cardboard seats, then i took them out and started to work on the rudder which can turn the boat to different angles.
Then i started to work on the sails, because they are so important, i glued heaps of Popsicle sticks in a row to make the mast then glued it to the inside of the boat, after that was dry i started to cut out the paper for the sail and glued that on. I also made a solar panel out of card board.

NEXT STEP - making the propela.
I will make this out of a popsical stick and a rubber band, but this will take a while.

I cant wait to take it to the lake and put it in the water to see if it floats i really hope it does.
